Bachelor or Master student Internship opportunity Renewable motor racing fuel Starting from Feb 2019 In short At Sunchem we are developing a new renewable fuel for motor racing. Are you a racing or renewable fuel enthusiast? Come and join! We are looking for someone with skills to brand this for a major racing event in Italy. Besides this, your internship involves mapping the race fuel market and investigate the customer needs. Fluent Italian would be helpful but is not required. Our office is in Amsterdam, working from home can be discussed. The duration is negotiable and a monthly internship allowance is included. Background and company Sunchem is a small dynamic company focusing on sustainable production of feedstock for biofuel and bioenergy. We aim to expand the cultivation of our innovative energy-crop Solaris. Next to that we develop renewable fuel alternatives for aviation and specialty markets. Solaris is a nicotine-free tobacco variety, developed by Sunchem for its high yield of biomass and oil. After a successful test flight on Solaris bio-jet fuel with Boeing and SAA in South Africa we now want to explorer other fuel alternatives. Besides bioenergy we are also developing other applications for Solaris. Internship description The main topic of this internship is to see how to convincingly bring our message and product across. The approach is two sided, developing the story from the company side and adapt by listening to customer’s interests and needs. Key is to get our message across, so you can be involved in developing material for pitches, fairs and subsidies as well. Your role/assignment can be tailored to your background and interests. The information will be used to further develop the business case to be presented to possible partners and financers. Since we are a small company it is possible to get insight in and be involved in other topics as well. Key criteria The ideal candidate meets the following key qualifications: - Interest in motorsports is a pré - Knowledge of the Italian language comes in handy but is not required - Creative in communication texts and with image material - Independent and self-motivated; although you will get more than sufficient guidance and supervision, the ability to structure and perform your work autonomously is key - Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment; plans, tasks and planning can change according to outcomes of previous work - Background in communication, business or marketing is appreciated. - Fluent in English, the report will be written in English. - Willing to work at our Amsterdam office at least 3 days a week Interested?
